Mercatus Master's Fellowship

Mercatus Master's Fellowship
George Mason University

In this complex and rapidly changing world, now more than ever ideas have consequences. Mercatus Master's Fellows know that ideas grounded in sound economics hold special promise.

The Mercatus Center Master's Fellowship Program is a competitive fellowship program for students in George Mason University's MA economics program who are interested in pursuing an advanced degree in applied economics in preparation for a career in business or public policy.

Our master's fellows take specialized courses, which provide analytic training in applying economic ideas to solve problems in the world. They work alongside Mercatus scholars, gaining valuable real-world knowledge about a wide range of issues in business and policy.

Master's Fellows are fully funded with an award that is valued at up to $40,000 per academic year and includes:

- Monthly stipend
- Full tuition support (9 credits per semester)
- Practical experience as a research assistant with the Mercatus Center
- Laptop computer

TOTAL AWARD UP TO $80,000

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University is a non-profit education and research organization that works with scholars, policy experts, and government officials to bridge economic theory with real-world practice. Mercatus professional development programs are designed to teach economic tools and analytical frameworks that promote innovative approaches to public policy problems. The ideas presented by the Mercatus Centers do not represent an official position of George Mason University.

The deadline for entry in Fall 2008 is March 15, 2008. For more information about the Mercatus Master's Fellowship, please visit www.Mercatus.org/MercatusMasters
